For our second edition of #TBT.... On to Braddock Heights MD, - TopicsExpress

For our second edition of #TBT.... On to Braddock Heights MD, home of the mythical Snallygaster, to the Braddock Inn. We played seven shows over the fall/winter of 2005 into 2006 with bands like No Remorse (you can see them here briefly in audience shots), MOAB, Vox Populi, The 7th Gate (now Palkoski), A False Hope and Black Canary. The shows could get wild when the local color got ornery. Ceiling tiles were easy targets for drunken destruction. During one of the later Braddock shows someone kicked a urinal out of the wall; At another show one of the bands we played with had to fold later on because their guitarist decked a cop! Eventually the owners got tired of the trouble and repairs, courting a hip-hop crowd before killing shows altogether. The Braddock Inn is closed now, but the legend lives on. Our CD release of Maiden Voyage + Live Tracks included this version of New Hope with inferior audio, which we cleaned up a bit, so you can more clearly hear the drunk hayseed in the back ask about our lack of vocals right after Fezz explains we have no vocals in the intro. The video was not filmed in ideal conditions, and has some audio sync issues due to a camera malfunction, but it rights itself about 20-25 seconds in. youtu.be/fnlNG-IQM5Q
