For people who dont know to much about Turkey. Attaturk (Mustafa Kemal) was the greatest leader Turkey ever had, he saved Turkey from British take over at Galipoli during the first world war the British led by Winston Churchill. He went from there to push the Greeks out from Turkey and half of Cyprus, and totally reformed the country. One of his famous laws/beliefs and strategys was that Turkey would never again attack another country or interfere with it in any way. It would instead build a very strong and disciplined army ready to repel any force that would dare breach its borders. All of the leading bankers and politicians of the day tried to bribe and corrupt him in any way they could to ditch this strategy, but all failed and his influence kept Turkey out of the second world war. To most Turkish people even today he is the biggest role model and hero of the country. When he died it was revealed that he had little money and just a couple of modest houses and left everything to the state... Many Turks see the U.S.as going against all of this wisdom and nothing more than a modern Empire building country at whatever the cost and they hate it. Erodogan may be in the pocket of NATO and the bankers but many of the people are not. When they get going they are pretty passionate, and they are sure as hell not a fan of Israel !! Erodogan did what Obama did and stuck most of his best Generals in prison or under house arrest. Worth remembering that the Sultan at the time did the same to Mustafa Kemal, but it did not last ....
