For reasons we fail to understand, the protest has been banned. Because over 2000 deaths is not reason enough to protest. Because the thousands injured is not enough. Because we must remain silent as children are murdered. Shame on our Court systems for deciding traffic is too much of an inconvenience for us to protest the murder of civilians. Shame on NSW Police for repeatedly trying to deny a basic right to protest. We will not have our civil liberties taken away because it is ok for Palestinians to die. It will never be ok for a population to be systematically starved through an 8-year blockade while the world is silent. It is not ok to murder women, children and innocent civilians and promote a film festival sponsored by those same murderers. We will not entertain Israeli apartheid that is brought to you by Palestinian blood. We will protest tomorrow 5.30pm at Taylor Square for the mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and children that were murdered in Gaza AND we will protest simply because it is our right.
