For release: $10,000 REWARD OFFERED FOR STOLEN JEWELRY On September 18, 2014, the Pawleys Island Police Department responded to 20 reported Auto Breaking and Entering and larcenies along Springs Ave. Among these larcenies was the theft of a 2013 Toyota Corolla which contained a large amount of jewelry. Through a thorough investigation and with evidence obtained by the departments Automated License Plate Recognition system, the PIPD obtained arrest warrants for two individuals in connection with these thefts. Dominque Andrews, a 17 year old male from Myrtle Beach, surrendered on September 26 and was booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center for Grand Larceny Greater Than $10,000. We are currently searching for Nevontrey Moore, an 18 year old male from Myrtle Beach, on the same charge and 2 counts of Petit Larceny Under $2,000. The stolen vehicle was recovered on September 29 by the Horry County Police Department in the area of Legends Drive off Highway 501. One of the victims, a 78 year old Georgia woman, is offering a reward for the jewelry that was in the stolen auto. The jewelry is of great sentimental value to her and she is offering up to $10,000 reward to anyone who can reunite her with these items. (If the items are not returned as the entire set the amount of the reward will be commensurate to victims priority of items.) A description of the jewelry in no particular order (photos of some items attached: - Solitaire diamond set in three-pronged gold ring - Antique crescent pin, saphhires and pearls set in gold - Five rings set in gold: amethyst, citrine, aquamarine with four diamonds, oval garnet in scalloped gold, and emerald with ten sapphires - Inca design 18k gold jewelry: Inca figure on gold chain,Tumi pin, drop earrings - Round coral ring set in wide gold band, matching teardrop earrings set in gold studs. - 14k gold charm bracelet with 25 assorted gold charms - Jade and gold link necklace, matching bracelet, carved jade rectangular drop earrings set in gold - Antique pearl and sapphire crescent pin set in gold - Necklace of pearls, lapis lazuli beads and gold beads, gold clasp - Round red garnet earrings set in gold studs - Green garnet earrings, three stones each, in three-leaf clover design, set in gold studs - Pearl ring: two baroque gray pearls set in (I think) silver If anyone has information regarding the investigation or the return of the stolen property, they can contact the Pawleys Island Police Department at 843-237-1698, attention Investigator Fairfield. -- Michael Fanning Chief of Police Town of Pawleys Island, SC
