For research purposes (I swear), I just got banned from signing up for Plenty Of Fish because they could tell I was not in the country I claimed to live in (Canada) but was instead somewhere in Africa, and POF does NOT support people signing up from Africa (like physically in Africa, not Africans living in one of their listed dating countries obviously). I was looking on there to do a little research for a piece im writing about a horrific online dating experience I had (by horrific, you know I really mean hilarious right?) and being here in Nicaragua (which is not in Africa in case you were confused on that for even a second) has afforded me the time to write said piece. Still, the irony is thick: even an online dating site doesnt want me. Forever Alone indeed.
