The high tensile material is primarily a chromoly based steel. These seals work much better than the 2mm or 3mm 2 piece seals as they seal better and provide superior compression for your motor. Originally I purchased a set of the Revolution 2mm 3 piece apex seal that were made for the Mazda race cars in Japan. They made the tolerances closer than the OEM ones therefore, they seal better and in doing so allow you to have higher boost and more compression which results in more power.
