For sale or trade!!! 1990 Chevy Cheyenne 2500! The Good: 350 V8 Runs and Sounds awesome! Limited slip rear differential! Real Two-Wheel Drive! (What?!? To me, that IS a good thing! It’s gotten me out of places that some 4 wheel drives got stuck and that’s the truth! ... Though, that might have to do with the tires and how high it sits…), More Good: The Tires and How High It Sits! Seriously, they are taller than stock tires with many miles of good tread left! The BAD: This thing runs great! … Until it warms up… Then the automatic 4 speed tranny will slip out of 4th at which point you can manually shift down to 3rd but shortly after that you will be down into 2nd praying it doesn’t slip anymore. It hasn’t yet…. So far… More Good! As transmissions go, this one is a piece of cake to change! More BAD: Typical Chevy Brake line problems (notice I spelled Brake correctly?) The brake line by the gas tank leaks and has air in the line so...near as I can tell only the front right brake is working...The front left might be okay too, its tough to tell.. More Good: With the transmission issues, you werent really going to be moving that fast anyway. More BAD: The rear strap on the gas tank broke. More Good: The front one is still good (for the moment) Also, I used a ratchet-strap to replace the back one and Ill throw that in with the price of the truck! (arent I generous?) A couple of times a month the primary mission of this truck is to make me feel better about driving a mini-van the rest of the month; this thing is “rough and tumble” and “tough and manly” in ways my mini-van is unlikely to ever be. The Secondary mission of this truck has been to haul wood in the fall and this thing does THAT like a champ! Well, it did... Even with the Transmission issues, it gets me (and my dog) to the dump and back just fine (my wimpy-van…er… mini-van objects to the idea of a trailer hitch and I’m not loading the trash in the back of my van because….well, phew eee!). More BAD: Rust! Holes! Theyre everywhere! The seat and seat cover are UGLY (It’s a work truck! What do we care?) More Good: The Radio Works! More BAD: No sound comes out of the Radio! (What? It turns “on” so it technically it “works”…just nothing comes out of the speakers… sometimes it will play for a few minutes and then the sound quits) (Who cares! It’s a work truck!) REALLY BAD: I still love this truck VERY MUCH and my dog and I are in no hurry to sell it, so I’m asking $3,000! REALLY GOOD: I don’t expect to get that much. This is Wisconsin and I know you want to brag about how much you talked me down on the price… You WILL sound like a champion haggler! I’ll also consider just about anything in trade: Motorcycles, trailers, guns, cars, trucks… Whatcha got? If you aren’t interested well, I at least hope I entertained you with my advertizement.
