For some reason Cooper Come Home is not public Not very fb savy - any help is appreciated Here is his story I was born December 24, 1997 in a garage in Tennessee. In March I flew to NJ to be in my forever home - thanks to rescue groups. I did everything - horse & barn life, obedience, agility, therapy dog work. Then on Sept 26, 2014 I vanished while on the beach in Long Beach Island. Ive been coming here for 16 yrs and never wandered away. Here is my story: A family wedding brought us to LBI. Cooper is in some pictures at 11:56 AM. After playing games with my 4 yr old grandson & the other 3 dogs we got up to leave (approx 12:25 PM) and he was not around. We looked immediately back at the house & area - no Cooper - the search began every day with the help of many people - new & old friends - Thank you. thank you -thank you Timeline - 9/26 - missing 9/29 - got a call from the post office to check out Liberty St. Dog fitting his description 9/30 - call from a woman that said she was on the beach on 9/29 (Delaware ave) and a loose dog walked by that looked like the picture 10/2 - sighting in the woods across from Nardis - staked out 3 nights there 10/5 - reported possible loose dog around Delaware - bay side Jordina from lost pet professionals finally came out on 10/10 ( I tried to get them in the beginning but she was booked) - her dogs tracked him from the beach area to the Blvd - scent stopped due to previous road flooding And then again to the bay where again it stopped by the blvd. we went to the sightings around Delaware but they found no scent. Flooded the island with more signs & flyers . On 10/11 while handing out a flyer - a man said my wife saw that dog 2 weeks ago on the beach here at Liberty St She was on the beach with some friends. A dog left the group she thought he was with to say hello to her. He wanted to be petted and leaned on her leg. They discussed that he had no tail and wondered why. He wasnt pushy - just stood there next to her. He went back to the family ( 2 girls a boy & their dog - smaller tan curly hair) - he left again to visit someone on the beach walking 2 black dogs. She thought he was with them - didnt know about the lost dog. So where is he? The confirmed scent off the beach - he did not go into the ocean - ( I check with the coast guard often) - there has not been a possible sighting since 10/5. Many houses are closed up for the season - hopefully not locked in someones garage. Or did he get taken off the island. Animal communicators all say he is alive - just lost & cant find his way home - because of his senior eyesight they are unable to see what he sees clearly or very far. Mostly deaf for the past 3 years, he wears a bell. If you hear one, please investigate. We wont stop looking until he is found.
