For some reason I was thinking about my friend David Sedaris today and the story he wrote about his sister who committed suicide a little over a year ago. David Sedaris isnt really my friend, but I have read all of his books many times over, and I often relate stories of his to my family and actual friends. I decided that David Sedaris probably wouldnt mind if I referred to him as my friend, and promise to ask him permission to do so if I ever have the chance.
