For some reason the pleas for help for dogs and cats have grown exponentially this week. In view of the possible dire changes coming in 30 days for the Sanctuary, I am unable at this time to help with any of them. I must concentrate on what it is going to take to keep the Sanctuary running , and keep it running I will. No matter what I have to do, the clinic may close. if we are unable to find a vet who can commit to us, but the Sanctuary will not. I have committed my life to these lives and even if no one else feels that obligation I will not fail them. We may have to change a bit, I may have to carry the entire work load, may cut a few years off my life, but the babies will continue to receive the best care and have happy lives until they are placed in loving homes or spend the rest of their days here. This I swear and no matter what curves are thrown at me, this will be done to the best of my abilities. I am working out a new schedule for myslef which involves starting at 3 am and working non stop all day, but I think it is do able. What it will not allow is any interruptions or distractions as a few hours here and there pulled away will keep me from getting everything done in the manner I want it to be. So many disappointments, I had ordered a phone line installed so an answering machine could capture messages to insure I did not miss anyone. My plan was to take time at night to listen to and answer them or have Mariann help me with this, since she is so good at it. But having to let the staff go and the extra $1000.00 a year for the phone line is now not manageable. So I turned the installation truck away when they came on Friday. So please be patient with me i will do my best to get back to each of you, but with this unexpected change the babies must come first.
