For some time now Ive been on a journey of mental weight loss. Shedding worry and fear .. Becoming at peace with myself. Trying to always send out positive energy through helping others and being grateful when receiving help. Trying new things...different way of thinking. Those close to me and those who knew me in the past know that Im also on a journey of body weight transformation .. Shedding those big heavy pounds. While not wanting to be a tooth pick lol (I like being a big dude too much) just the extra fat had to go. As I approach 45 ( yes Im old.. I mean mature lol) it became Far less important to be a big beast. And far more to be a healthy light weight giant. :) so I set about changing bad habits and training different. (More Cardio etc) .. At first it was a bumpy start but eventually the pounds started to drop. People that havent seen me in awhile would say wow! You lost weight! People who saw me on the regular would say wow are you losing weight?! Both would ask. So how much did you lose? That age old question. And I never actually weighed myself ever to give them answers.see I always went by the old school method of judging how clothing fit. Or how less puffy my face got. And how I like what I saw in the mirror. Too many people focus so much on the numbers. Unless your in a prized UFC fight. Or bodybuilding competition the numbers really dont make the difference...you could have gotten more muscular and your weight goes up a lil. Doesnt mean you gained bad fat. And depending on water intake that day etc .. Dont get me wrong. Its good to find out your actually weight .. But dont let the scale dictate how your doing. Often ladies will let the scale make them feel down about a pound or two difference and derail their progress. No. Tweak your diet. Train with more intensity. Train in different ways( confuse your body). And feel better ... Anyway I decided while in a friends bathroom to jump on the scale and actually see out of curiosity how much I lost.... So I get on the scale ...... To let u know where I was in size two years ago. I was 300lbs. Yes a big boi! But I carried it well.(so they say lol)... (250Lbs lean at age 30)I was 42 waist sized jeans two years ago . 54 tall suit jacket (I was 46tall/48tall at 30yrs old) . ...My jeans are now 36 waist (I was 34 waist at age 30)... And now for the main surprise ..... I stand on the scale and Im presently at .(cue the drum beats...lol......) 260lbs! May not be much to some. But trust me on a big framed dude like me. Its enough. That was a refreshing surprise instead of checking your weight every day on scale. A nice surprise feels better. :) so there you have it. For those who asked how much I lost. Do the math now ;) lol Im to happy to care. Ill want to stop(I mean manage.. Its an on going battle) at 250ish. And tone muscle better. And still work on twiddling down the waist fat. So theres my shared story. For those new on my page. Ive attached some visuals lol to show the change within a couple of years to now.
