For some time now Ive had the notion in my head that the Slavic peoples are former slaves of other European peoples. Does this mean theyre Black,? No, however, they were slaves, nonetheless. They were called thralls and consisted of a variety of peoples conquered by the Scandinavians, the northernmost Germanic peoples. Ive attached a link to an article on their status and relationship to the Scandinavians. Apparently, the only penalty imposed for the murder of a thrall was monetary. I have yet to find any mention of jail time or capital punishment for killing one of these thralls. The same was true for American slaves and appears to still be in force today, as Black families have to resort to civil suits when their loved ones are murdered by American law enforcement officers, because prosecutors nationwide refuse to indict White officers for murdering unarmed Black citizens. What does that say about our status here in the USA? Why are we still being treated like slaves instead of freemen? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thrall
