For the Doug Gottliebs and Bill Plashckes of the world as a Brewer fan I am not a battered woman with Stockholm Syndrome for cheering for Ryan Braun. And, no its not just that hes the best player on the team (although I might like him a little more because of that). I cheer for all PED-users because I dont agree with the logic of legislating what one can and cannot put in their bodies as a means of leveling the playing field. If we want to level the playing field then every poor Dominican kid that makes it to the bigs should get an automatic 3-0 count when facing an American pitcher who had all the best weight training and coaching. Or make every player eat the same foods (that are often ironically made larger with things like Bovine Growth Hormone), drink the same liquids, train the same amount of hours, and so on and so forth. Plus who decides what a PED is and isnt? Who gets to say that a red gummy bear is bad for you, but a cup of coffee or 5 hour energy is just fine?
