For the Israeli Occupation soldiers who sit with no empathy and total indifference behind modern computer screens controlling their advanced war machines, it is just a matter of pressing a button. But for the victims of these war machines, its either death or survival with life-time disability. Maria was a victim to a dehumanising and brutal attack in 2006 that targeted a civil car that she and her family were commuting. Her mother, grandmother, and brother were murdered. She only 3 years old and got severely injured. Shrapnels pierced all of her body leaving her disable for all her life with a traumatised memory. All is left for her is her father who continues to take care of her and give her love and strength as much as he can. In this interview he says, I wish I can give her my body organs so she can live like an ordinary human being. Keep in mind that Marias story is one of the stories that had the privilege to be communicated to the world. There are tens of thousands of stories that might be even more difficult than this, thousands of painful sighs that no one listen to. The last attack on Gaza left more than 11 thousand wounded people struggling to live in a bitter reality that doesnt leave much space for hope.
