For the Marianas, winds and showers are expected to gradually diminish today and tonight with quieter weather expected for the remainder of the week. Strong winds northeast of tropical depression 01W continue to bring hazardous surf and seas to the Marianas. Advisories still in effect for the Marianas: ***High Surf Advisory for north and east facing reefs*** ***High Risk of Rip Currents for north and east facing reefs*** ***Wind Advisory*** ***Small Craft Advisory*** Tropical depression 01W is passing north of Yap. The worst weather associated with 01W remains north of Yap so significant impacts from winds and flooding rains are no longer expected. Therefore, the tropical storm warning that was in effect has been canceled. however, a high surf advisory is now in effect for Yap and remains in effect for Koror through at least Thursday.
