For the Solstice we packed dinner and head out to South Beach. Lots of wildlife activity. We watched rabbits bask in the sun with the songs of White Crown Sparrows everywhere. Orca whales were passing by the beach as the sun sat low in the sky. Lots of fox roamed the grassland area. One fox slowly maneuvered through the tall grass to gain a positive position to launch his attempt at a rabbit dinner. His slow moving efforts paid off. Later deer join the party as they grazed slowly along the hillside. Not a bad evening and all of the above was observed sitting in one location. Pretty amazing.
