For the benefit of those of you who have had a valid new-birth - TopicsExpress

For the benefit of those of you who have had a valid new-birth experience, let me say one other thing. The role of Pretenders in Satan’s plan has always been to confuse. They confuse people outside the Church by making them think everybody in the Church must be a hypocrite. But they also confuse True Believers in the Church by making them think everybody has had the same new-birth experience. They thereby entice True Believers away from complete obedience to God’s will. So let me ask you this: If Satan’s purpose is to confuse True Believers, wouldn’t it make sense for him to make sure Pretenders are as intimate as they possibly can be with True Believers? Sure it would. But before you start examining the hypocrisy of your close friends and neighbors, perhaps you should consider what Jesus said: (Matthew 10:34–39). That’s a radical notion isn’t it? Yet the Truth is, clinging to a relationship with a tangible family member rather than trusting in a relationship with the intangible God has sent more than a few unsuspecting souls to their eternal damnation. And being negatively influenced by a Pretender to whom they have been “unequally yoked” has destroyed a vast multitude who have experienced the thrill of the new birth. So, lest you think you can rely on someone else to tell you what is right for you, I remind you that salvation by faith is an individual affair. That’s why God expects everyone to answer Pilate’s question for themselves: (John 18:37–38) “The Voice of Elijah® Update,” May 1996, pp. 7–8
