For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God…. (Romans 8:19) I think that everyone has a longing for God because all of humanity was created for union with Him. However, they are so caught up in trying to fill that desire with the wrong things that they do not even think of looking for so simple of an answer. We don’t help this by making Christianity seem complicated. While sanctification is not as simple as saying a few words, it is not as complicated as it seems when one looks at the vast number of denominations that need to somehow uniquely identify themselves as compared to all the rest. To be a Christian means one thing: turning everything in one’s life over to Jesus Christ and allowing the Holy Spirit to reign in your heart. No matter what denomination with whom you affiliate, if you are not striving to turn your life over to the Son of God, you are a Christian in name only. Fill that longing for true happiness with the love of the Father, then you too can be counted among the sons of God!
