For the first session here as the new guy, I wanted to touch on bands and artists that I think are standouts and Arjen Anthony Lucassen is one of them. In 2012, he released a masterful concept album of progressive, genre bending metal called, Lost In The New Real. It is narrated by none other than Rutger Hauer, which lends yet another air of awesome to it. I pondered which track would best define it and it just so happens to be a mind blowing cover of Led Zeppelins monumental anthem, The Battle Of Evermore. Two years later and this particular release has not left my cd player. -bez-
