For the first time I locked myself out and had to travel 220 miles - TopicsExpress

For the first time I locked myself out and had to travel 220 miles to correct that one single mistake--slamming a door shut behind me and no key in hand. Woke up next morning and rode a packed bus back--all seated. Well it was an experience riding a Chinatown cheap bus--$10 take you 109 miles. I thought about the saving of $22 having not gone the alternate route but sometimes the cost is more. After settling down on my bus journey, circa 20 miles out, I began to sense a vast difference in the air quality--outside versus inside. It was a pungent, choking, stagnant odor of rotten eggs, stinging my eyes----experienced only in execution chambers. I could not open the window because it was freezing cold. So I had to lay there and take it all in----water dripping profusely from my eyes like I was peeling onions. I cried a lot less when my father died. Then I looked around, it was all Asians---My gosh!!! I imagine how loaded those farts were ---late night spicy foods in combination with the early morning fried eggs and milk. Phew!!! Whoi!! My face was numb when I disembarked in New York. I took one deep breath of the Manhattan icy cold fresh air and whispered to myself, never again a backside. Happy New Year my people.
