For the first time in Delhi a new initiative has been going on. Each MLA of Delhi receives 4 crore MLA-LAD fund annually but till now public didnt have any idea of what BJP and Congress MLA used to do with it. But AAP has decided that all 27 MLAs of AAP will spend this fund under the supervision of the residents of their respective vidhan sabhas after organizing small mohalla sabhas with them. This means, public will have full control over 108 crore rs. They will know how, when and where this money is being spent. In many areas work has already begun and to increase the accountability, AAP has made a provision that contractors will only receive money when locals will approve the quality of their work. For example, if road is being repaired in your area then until you approve the quality of the work, the contractor will not receive his money. This one of its kind initiative will ensure quality work and reduce corruption and wastage of public money
