For the first time in a long time, I found London a friendly place. -- At one of the artist features in commercial square a lady approached me and asked me what I thought of the piece and we had a pleasant dialogue about it (she knew quite a bit about it, and the artist - what luck!). Much later in Euston Station, a South African woman started chatting to me as I munched my way through my second dinner while she waited for her elderly mum. Finally, on the train back to Milton Keynes a 55 yr old graphic Designer from Wolverhampton shared with me his story of love, loss, sailing and why unmarried women over 40 are weird and should be avoided (surreal but entertaining). Normally, I speak to people and get a mixture of reactions, it was quite refreshing for people to start conversations with me.
