For the first time in the history of the Wild Horse Act, an Appeals Court will determine whether the BLM‘s interpretation of the Act is consistent with Congress’s intent to protect these living symbols of the West over 40 years ago. The BLM failed to consider current data regarding ecological resources in the herd management area (HMA), and also illegally harassed and captured horses that were not even considered “excess” by their own inappropriate standards. Witness this important hearing – please fill the courtroom and show your support for the Twin Peaks wild horses and burros and all the others as this would be a LANDMARK case.. If you are able to be in Southern California in late August, please help plaintiffs IDA and Dream Catcher Wild Horse and Burro Sanctuary FILL THE COURTROOM to show your support for America’s wild horses and burros!
