For the first time in what seems years, Ive been dreaming. Not timid, little twice a year forays into narrow, Freudian alleyways. Nor the self directed plebeian efforts of one trying to put themselves asleep... No, these have been big sweeping dreams of road houses, lonesome highways, distant maritime cities and even bigger skies. And the frequency of their incident is impressive. Something is stirring out there and, frankly, I like it. Even as I find myself with a morning off, windows wide letting in the grey, dank, chilly September air, I find myself all on my lonesome at the house. Yes, theres chilli in the crockpot, and I do have a coupla books in need of reading, but Im overcome with a hankering for a nap - and as the bard would have it: to sleep, and perchance to dream... the days tasks, they can wait a bit...
