For the first time maybe since the 1976 Soweto Uprising, the South African youth is taking initiative in the socio-political issues that affect them and the country as a whole. The rapid growth of #EFF as a fully fledged people-based political and socio-economical protest movement is a clear indication that the youth in particular in ready and willing to stand up and be counted amongst the numbers of those who, fearlessly and without favouritism, reject an openly and unashamedly corrupt and unjust government.
