For the last 2 wks or so, I was totally sure that the Beachcomber Bar & Grill in Seaside had burned to the ground with the boardwalk fire. I just a News12 NJ story about the place and, to my welcomed surprise, it is still standing! Even the owner, who was interviewed, said he called his wife the day of the fire to tell her it was gone. Absolutely NO DAMAGE inside the restaurant. He says it looks the same way it did before the fire. However, there was damage to the siding outside, water and fire damage in the apartment upstairs. The city has given the restaurant the ability to temporarily open for 2 wks. Some good news out of a terrible tragedy
