For the last few days Ive been wanting to write down my feelings about the changes that I have made this year with regards to my life goals and career. My friend, Kim Lembo, posted this status a couple of days ago; exactly what I have been feeling!!! Although, I didnt leave jobs that I really cared about (except for a few people that I worked with), I did put my music on hold for 10 years so that I could commit to my work. And, I did call music my hobby - putting it 2nd to everything. Her statement also reminds me of when she and I worked together; when we had some down time, shed start singing some beautiful passages and my heart would fill with great peace. That was our connection. Music is the universal language. Its a connection that is hard to describe. What I can say is when that connection is met with the other person(s), its electrifying. I always perform to make at least one person in the audience feel what Im feeling. When that happens, Ive done my job! Thank you, Kim for expressing what I was thinking!!!! We must collaborate and spread this experience!!
