For the last few months, Mental Health and Recovery and Mental Health America of Licking County have been offering residents and companies the chance to learn more about mental health first aid, which can be used to help someone dealing with a mental illness who is in crisis. The Advocate is helping them get the word out about the training by sponsoring a short, free information session at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the main branch of the Licking County Library. After learning more about what the training offers, participants will have the opportunity to sign up for a free eight-hour session.
