For the last twelve months or so a small group in the parish has been working on a project to honour those men who lost their lives in the first World War the start of which was 100 years ago last year. The group comprises locals from various parts of the community including the village hall committee and our Facebook presence will be via the village hall page. The project has been boosted by a grant of over £6000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund which will be used to give the area around the war memorial a face lift, to develop a website and to publish a book about those who lost their lives.
