For the last two nights Belle has started barking around 2 a.m. I only notice because she is on the front porch. Her interest seems to be towards the woods across the lake. Belle has free access to both the house and the woods. She probably goes out about 1/2 mile in the woods chasing raccoons. The neighbor lady on Friday night had a scary experience. She went to her neighbors house, which is only about 80 yards. While on the way she had something growl at her. I have warned her before not to walk alone in the neighborhood after dark. Not that she is any danger but she could be a target for something scaring her. Same neighbor that last summer heard something drinking out of her small fish pond. I suspect that I live on a corridor for animals to pass through. Animals, unless they want to swim to get on the other side of the lake., either have to go 1 mile east or 2 miles west.
