For the longest time, I had my heart set on going to Law School. I - TopicsExpress

For the longest time, I had my heart set on going to Law School. I wanted to do tons of Pro- Bono work for those who cannot afford it, but really need a good Attorney. Unfortunately, after working at Sallie Mae and seeing what large law school student loans can do to a person, and what Sallie mae WILL do to a person, I decided I did not want to be 50 years old and $300,000.00 in debt. It was sad, but I gave up that dream. Now, I have these people calling me from a Lawyers office telling me that I qualify for compensation from a surgery I had 32 years ago, claiming I had a mesh implant, I did not. When I explained that I did not fit into that category and was not interested,he went on to ask me all kinds of questions..was I prescribed anti-depressants when I was pregnant, did I ever have this or that kind of procedure?? It is Attorneys like these, who spend all day ambulance chasing to POSSIBLY find some loophole to make some cash from that make me so disgusted. Why would you waste an education on this frivolous bullshit, or bill collecting, or any other form of law that is not helping anyone? It pisses me off. They should have given me their Diploma, at least I would have done something good with it. And please...no Dead Lawyer Jokes..I work for an awesome Attorney..so, they are not all bad.
