For the most part, Im fine with all the glossy political flyers - TopicsExpress

For the most part, Im fine with all the glossy political flyers and such in my mailbox each day. Its easily identified and I can either read it or toss it into recycling. Yesterday, I got a plain white unmarked business envelope with no indication of who it was from and a normal postage stamp. So, Im forced to open it because I have no clue if it is from a family member or worse a creepy chain main letter or really worse some kind of letter from a stalker. Business and other entities at least have a return address. And no Im not being dramatic, women (especially single ones) have to worry about these things. It was a black and white informational one page letter advocating for a candidate. I know there are larger issues to deal with - but that avenue of getting their info out felt deceptive and invasive. I hope candidates think about it a little when they choose a method for getting their information out to the public. Anything identifying who the letter is coming from on the outside of the envelope would have been nice and saved me ten seconds of anxiety.
