For the new Christians. His Baptism Jesus went from the galilee to the Jordan and came to John to b baptized by him. As soon as he was baptized, Jesus came up out of the water. Then heaven was opened to him,and he saw the Spirit of God coming down like a dove and lighting on him. And then a voice said from heaven, This is my own dear son,with whome i well pleased. This is the testimony thatJohn gave: I saw the Spirit come down like a dove from heaven and stay on him. I still did not know him,but God,who sent me to baptize with water,said to me,u will see the Spirit come down and stay on a man;he is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.
