For the new people on my page, Id like you to meet Sam ( black lab ) known as the King of AHAR. He is now nineteen years old and he was my first pound dog. He is the reason Ive saved hundreds in that time. I fell in love at first sight and I knew he was the one but more importantly I learned about death row. He is the reason I fight so hard to save as many as I can now. Sam is a dog you only ever meet once in a life time if you are lucky. He has walked such a long journey with me, from darkness to the sun and back. There must be a stronger word than loyal, a stronger word then love, that this dog has given me. He has been my strength and life force when I needed him most. He knows when Im upset and his huge brown eyes just melt your soul and then he throws his huge paw at you, and all is forgotten. Lara ( the collie ) was dumped feral at my gate. It took a year before she came to me. She is also nineteen years old, but blind and deaf. Weaker then Sam. If you once saw what a huge powerful dog she was, at full gallop on a horse she was there by my side. She only ever wanted to be my shadow and protect me. She is a dog in a million. I know this is my last Christmas with them, so I wanted to make a video to share with all of you and one I can keep and remember why and who I am for many more years to come because of these two dogs who showed me more love than humanly possible. Loyalty is everything to me, they will never be replaced in my life time. Who knows how much time they have left, but the time they have given me is stuff you only read in fairytales and legends.
