For the new year, I pray for our pain to be a teaching tool. Our trust to return. Our love to burn brighter. Our laughter to resume. Our nightmares to cease. Our anxiety to subside. Our joy to be filled. Our gratitude to replace fear. Our wounds to heal. Our scars to fade. Our faith to be rekindled. Our happiness to flourish. For peace to reside in us. For forgiveness to replace resentment. For our kindness to increase. For our time to be spent showing charity towards each other. For mistakes to be learned from. That our thoughts be made pure. Our intentions good. Our speech void of guile. Our hearts to prize honesty. Our minds to stay invigorated with positivity. Our bodies to stay rejuvenated with energy. Our ears to be open. Our smiles to be shared freely. For our strength to come from humility. That our perseverance be stronger. Our compassion shown with greater empathy. And that everyday we take inventory of our thoughts, words, and deeds and have a greater resolve to align them with what we know to be right. Love you all. Happy New Year.
