For the novice athlete, the one who needs to lose the most weight or reclaim their fitness, the prescription is pretty simple- move your body, pick up (relative) heavy loads and eat foods that arent processed. Not just once. Over and over. Day after day. There are no cheat days. There are no shortcuts. The thought that something more complex is necessary is egocentric at best. Its a fallacy that is pumping millions into the next big workout thingy or supplement company. Im not a hype guy. Im not here to sell you but if it were me, Id spend my money on food and good coaching. Dialing in those two can save you time, energy and frustration on extras that amount to rearranging deck chairs on the titanic. Lift. Run. Eat. Rest.
