For the past couple of weeks, Ive done a pretty good job of avoiding newsfeed, and facebook in general. I have messenger on my phone so folks can contact me, and the small group that has followed to Google+ seems to be working out so far. Its hard to escape this social media, though. I have this inborn desire to be connected, yet I know that the connections on here arent real, for lack of a better term. I love my family, friends, and acquaintances, but I dont really feel connected unless we are spending time together, around the table, at a convention, or wherever. Unfortunately, there are people out there who dont like me, what I do, how I do it, or whatever else you may come up with. I dont hate anyone, and I have never attempted to hurt anyone on purpose, no matter what theyve done or said about me. Why am I making such a long post? Well, I cant fight the urge to tell people who I am when someone else paints a vastly different picture of me. I guess its a pride thing. All in all, I dont really care that someone else has issues with me. They are free to think whatever they want, and express themselves. Ive never made a post to friends only or other privacy settings (that I can remember), because I want everyone to know who I am. So here I am, posting publicly, that I dont care what you call me or what you accuse me of. You wont get me to do or say anything to prove you right. So goodbye for now, facebook. Youve been a great source of drama. Lets hope that the drama stays here while I go play with my friends and make great art on Google+.
