For the past four years I have flunked growing baking potatoes. For one reason or another, I always got them in too late and since we have such a short season, they never got bigger than the little one in the picture. Sure, they tasted the same, but somehow we always felt like we were at a dolls tea party or something, eating miniature food. Plus you had to eat about six of them and one teaspoon of sour cream just about buried them. Me, Id be happy with only Yukon Golds which grow fast for us, but hubby wanted real baked potatoes. This year, I finally got it right and Mini Me helped me dig two rows of the most gorgeous Russets, most of them huge. She was so funny, afterwards she was worried about getting the stains out of her best jeans!
