For the past three weeks I have been part of an intensive experience: I have been again outside my comfort zone, I have learned about the importance of being part of a movement, believing in humanity, empathy and solidarity; I have been intrigued, sad and outraged about the future impact of the Rosia Montana Gold Corporation project if will be approved and how national heritage and people are not as important as money. I have experienced again an intercultural learning process with people from: Belarus, Belgium, Catalunya, Czech Republic, Denmark, Romania, Spain, Ucraine. I have seen the results and importance of volunteering in two important movements: Adopta o Casa la Rosia Montana si FanFest Rosia Montana. Several people that I know are continously asking me: " and, have you saved anything until now?". As a reply for them or for everyone, I will leave a quote and also challenge them to find another abordation or trying to reformulate the question when it comes to my activism: "...an activist is someone who cannot help but fighting for something. That person is not usually motivated by a need for power or money or fame, but in fact is driven slighty mad by some injustice, some cruelty, some unfairness, so much that he or she is compelled by some internal moral engine to act to make it better."
