For the past two days this young hawk has been crying for its parents. Today we noticed a fox trying to catch and eat it. We brought it home and feed it some raw liver and it ate like it was starving. We called the local bird sanctuary and the lady told us to put the bird back where we got it. I again explained that this is the third day that the bird has been screaming and we have not seen any sigh of its parents, and that a fox was trying to make a meal of it. I think that under normal circumstances the bird sanctuary would be correct in putting the bird back where the parents can take care of it, however the fox is going to take care it it first. I am not a hawk trainer and am at a loss. Any suggestions???
