Like our page, share favorite solutions with your friends, and tell us any #NewGOP ideas you might have! _____________________________________ #NewGOP Solution 1: Comprehensive Tax Reform Comprehensive tax reform that closes corporate loopholes, simplifies the tax code more generally, and lowers rates is perhaps the single-most important piece of legislation that could be passed to spur economic growth and get Americans back to work. Congressman Dave Camp proposed a promising first step in this direction earlier this year, but it has yet to move forward. The #NewGOP should be a forceful advocate for comprehensive tax reform. #NewGOP Solution 2: Build the Keystone Pipeline The Obama administration has delayed making a decision on Keystone for the past 6 years and, in doing so, has prevented the creation of thousands of new jobs. The delay is indicative of a larger hesitance to promote the booming oil and gas industry that is innovating and producing, despite Democrats best efforts to slow it down. Harmful regulations that prevent the expansion of hydraulic fracking have also impeded progress and stifled innovation that could make energy production safer. The #NewGOP needs to champion the Keystone Pipeline and keep America on a path to energy independence. #NewGOP Solution 3: More School Choice A quality education is essential to improving economic mobility and ensuring that the American Dream remains achievable for everyone. Yet, our schools consistently underperform relative to those in many of the worlds developed countries. Part of the reason is that children in poor areas remain trapped in failing schools. By empowering parents - not bureaucrats - to choose where to send their children to school, we can take the first step toward improving school quality and allocating resources more efficiently to schools that find a way to get it done.
