For the people opposed to Keystone XL - you should know it is actually /beneficial/ to the environment when compared to how Alberta crude oil is currently being transported. Canada is the US number one supplier of oil - and that oil has to move from us to them one way or another. Would you rather it continue to be put on thousands of trucks, trains, and ocean tankers, or doesnt logic tell you replacing all those massively polluting modes of transportation with a relatively /very/ safe pipeline turns out beneficial for the environment? Big oil billionaires arent pushing this pipeline, the supply and demand of the economy is. Would you rather America buy its oil from OPEC, which includes HORRID, non-regulated oil practices in countries such as Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, or possibly even IRAN? Doesnt it seem fishy that supposed environmentalists are obsessively blocking something that would make a positive impact on the economy and environment when compared to the current transportation system, so say numerous sources, including an OBJECTIVE, non-partisan review from the US State Department? It makes me think that big transportation companies are exploiting peoples environmental fears to keep their own billion dollar transportation businesses alive and growing. Think about it - the oil has to move one way or another. Which way do you think is better?
