For the record: I am not afraid of contracting Ebola. I intend to avoid close contact with symptomatic Ebola patients and their bodily fluids, so I have almost zero chance of infection. That said, I still think the conduct & communication of the CDC and those charged with public health & infectious disease control borders on outright incompetence. I also think a ban on travel into the US by anyone holding a visa from a hot zone country makes perfect sense, even if just for a limited period of time.
