For the sake of argument and humoring the pro free market crowd, lets say the government removes all regulations on wages and labor. Whats stopping the majority of companies from then hiring legal or illegal immigrant workers for $3/hr? How would this improve unemployment and poverty? Wouldnt a free market system just lead to higher poverty and unemployment? Theres always someone willing to do your job for less, and unless you have a unique skill or talent, you can be replaced. A free market system is not a good idea. I kinda wish some of the self-proclaimed economists on facebook would understand that.
