For the sake of those that misquoted the recent statistical investigation of the World Bank President, Dr. Kim Yong: Kim Yong affirmed that the two thirds of the worlds extreme poor are concentrated in just five countries - India, China, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Democratic Republic of Congo. The parameters Kim Yong used is the most concentrated region with extreme poor people irrespective of their development. The statistics does not infer that China or India is not developed economically but they have more poor people when compared with other countries. Alas, this can be attributed to the high populated density of those countries. We all know that the most developed economy in the world now is in between China, Brazil, India and others but the inference Kim Yong is trying to make is the extreme poor people when compared to others irrespective of their economical growth. But as far as my country is concerned. Even without any data; a day born baby knows we are swimming in ocean of poverty. Mrs. Coordinating Minister of Economy, wetin u na dey coordinate all this while... Nigeria needs urgent and pragmatic measures to tackling our problems.
