For the second straight year, a WVU freshman has received the Chesapeake Energy Capital Classic Most Outstanding Player. Brandon Watkins earned the award last year. Now this year, Jevon Carter earned the nod after notching 14 points and six rebounds in Sundays win over Marshall. Carter arrived in Morgantown this summer, coming from the storied high school program of Proviso East in Chicago. His unique skill set of instant offense and aggressive defense is proving to pay dividends so far this season for the Mountaineers. wvillustrated/story/27626893/freshman-jevon-carter-providing-instant-offense-for-wvu
