For the second time in just the past few weeks, the Lafayette Parish School System has made national and international news, but not for positive reasons. A few weeks ago, Mark Cockerhams involvement in a proposed gun raffle at Comeaux High School was reported nationally and as far away as the United Kingdom. Again, Dr. Coopers black mafia comments are also being reported across the US (San Francisco, Houston and Indiana to name a few locations), in World News online and, again, in the United Kingdom. With this kind of negative press for our community, how can we expect to attract businesses and individuals to Lafayette?
