For the several of you I saw applauding Putin the last year or two and were laughing at guys like Cruz suggesting Obama was playing checkers while Putin was playing chess.. The man collapsed the Russian economy because of his decisions. [without even getting into a rant about the despicable treatment of lgbt and minorities in his country under his watch among other things] Their negotiations with Europe have failed because of the U.S. led sanctions. The drop in the cost of Oil has their economy on the brink, because OPEC is having to compete with the U.S. on gas prices. The worth of the Ruble has fallen in half as a result. Meaning theyre having trouble importing goods in a country that doesnt produce much goods outside of gas/oil in the first place. Prices of food has skyrocketed. National deficit has inflation of nearly 10 percent this year alone. Its GDP took a hit to where its now more comparable to Spain, and Mexico. The billionaires are canibalizing or bailing out of the country. And everyone at the world table is shunning him. His allied countries and neighbors are establishing closer ties to the west for fear of being invaded or even sharing his fate. This all made him get bullied into a bad deal by China.
