For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. - TopicsExpress

For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17 Not feeling it? Read on It happens so rarely in my life, and today is one of those. On the outside, I am smiling and ready, but on the inside, for many a reason, I am down. You would not know it to talk to me, or maybe even see me, but I know it. I have always pledged to be honest with my readers and so it is today. It’s a tough one for me. Maybe it is for you as well. My prayers are that both of us benefit from the shared words that follow. There is hope. No matter the pit we are in or what got us there, there is hope. Even more than this, there is victory. Each step we take towards the Savior and getting in line with his thoughts and his plan for our lives is a victory. You see, as a child of God, I have made a break from sin. Not that I don’t sin, but that it is not going to triumph in my life. I can choose to focus on this day to day struggle, or I can simply trust in the Lord and tell him where I am at this moment and ask, yet again, for his grace. And He gives it. What an amazing Lord! We are called to be winners in Christ. Why? Because the battle has been won. From the first onset of the calling into ministry, Christ defeated Satan. This came from his temptation in the desert. He fought with what he knew best; the word of God. How can we think that we are any better than Jesus that we should live without temptation or trouble? We cannot. We live in an evil world. But … see, there is the hope,..Jesus is alive and at work in us. He overcame so that daily we can overcome. That changes my perspective. In Him, I can continue on to do what I know is right. And then, I can lead and share with others the hope that I find in Christ. Where are you today? Only you and the Lord know, but what I know is that we all are called to be triumphant… did you read that?… triumph! You can do it. It is a fight, but the victor is on our side each time we face a challenger. Thank you for letting me into your world today. Thank you for letting me be honest with the struggles that I have. Most of all, I thank the Lord for his Word that never ceases to meet us just where we need to be. Triumph my friends. It is a way of looking, living, and believing.
