For the true outsider, one unrequitable and proud, there is no admission to the literary collective but that his be brought in as for a show-and-tell, neutered and labeled as ‘other.’ The collective requires of writers a process that guarantees they do not see the light of print until they are kowtowed, have a compliant spine, whatever their words. I can assure you of this and that I am other and that my first novel, FLICK, is become a book with a cause besides its own and that is that American publishing has become insular, incestuous, closed (and maybe appropriately so) to the dissident heart. FLICK (and maybe its journey, too) is a tale of an ordinary rebellion that never gives in and finds its mythic heart and hurt and has been rejected, unread, by one hundred and forty-seven literary agents, New York’s finest. It is my wish that this book do well enough that one of these might solicitously call and I might reply, ‘Blow me.’ Available now via the Amazon link below and also at CreateSpace Direct, Amazon Europe, elsewhere as a paperback, an e-book and for free lending – for a limited time – in Amazon’s Kindle library, FLICK will be available in six to eight weeks at other outlets, bookstores, for example. For a description of the novel, see comments. If it seems a promising thing, please share. amazon/Flick-T-D-Badyna/dp/0615832423/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1371764788&sr=1-1&keywords=Badyna — with Drungil Virginija and 17 others.
